Monthly Automotive MMI® Decreases 3.1% to 94

The monthly Automotive MMI® registered a value of 94 in July, a decrease of 3.1 percent from 97 in June.

The price of US HDG climbed 3.2 percent to $747.00 per short ton.

US palladium bar prices fell 12.0 percent to $659.00 per ounce after rising the previous month. The price of US platinum bar closed the month at $1,339 per ounce after dropping 7.9 percent. On the LME, the 3-month price of copper fell 7.0 percent over the past month to $6,776 per metric ton. On the LME, the cash price of primary copper closed the month at $6,751 per metric ton after dropping 6.8 percent. After rising the previous month, Chinese primary lead prices dropped 0.9 percent to $2,247 per metric ton.

At a price of $3.82 per kilogram, Korean 5052 coil premium over 1050 sheet did not budge the entire month.
