Indian Silver Shifts 2.7%

Closing at INR 46,664 ($755.39) per kilogram on the Tuesday, December 17, Indian silver rose 2.7 percent to finish as the day’s biggest mover. Following a 1.5 percent rise yesterday, the price of Chinese silver closed at CNY 4,085 ($672.86) per kilogram. US silver prices rose 1.4 percent to $19.96 per ounce. Following a two-day drop, the price of Japanese silver increased by 0.3 percent to JPY 640.00 ($6.21) per 10 grams.

Indian gold bullion prices saw a 1.7 percent decline to INR 28,320 ($458.44) per 10 grams. Chinese gold bullion prices inched up 0.7 percent to CNY 244.30 ($40.24) per gram. Japanese gold bullion closed 0.3 percent lower at JPY 4,078 ($39.58) per gram. At $1,241, the price of US gold bullion finished the market day up 0.2 percent per ounce.

Japanese platinum bar prices saw a 0.8 percent decline to JPY 4,495 ($43.62) per gram. Chinese platinum bar finished the day down 0.3 percent to CNY 285.00 ($46.94) per gram. At $1,358 per ounce, US platinum bar fell 0.2 percent on Tuesday.

Japanese palladium bar ended the day at JPY 2,377 ($23.07) per gram, after the 0.9 percent drop yesterday. The price of US palladium bar remained essentially flat at $715.00 per ounce. Chinese palladium bar stayed flat at around CNY 159.00 ($26.19) per gram.
