Renewables MMI®: Week Closes Flat for Chinese Cobalt Cathodes

The past week saw all metals on Renewables MMI® hold steady. At CNY 196,000 ($32,432) per metric ton, Chinese cobalt cathodes didn’t move. At CNY 13,850 ($2,292) per metric ton, the price of silicon did not change since the previous week. Closing at CNY 405,000 ($66,901) per metric ton, neodymium remained unchanged for the week. Prices for Chinese steel plate remained constant, closing the week at CNY 3,890 ($643.68) per metric ton.

At JPY 76,000 ($736.98) per metric ton, the week finished with no movement for Japanese steel plate. Korean steel plate remained essentially flat from the previous week at KRW 900,000 ($846.74) per metric ton. Following a steady week, prices for Chinese steel plate closed flat at CNY 3,890 ($643.68) per metric ton. US steel plate prices held steady from the previous week at $795.00 per short ton.

US grain-oriented electrical steel (GOES) saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row, remaining around $3,043 per short ton.
